Crooks & Castles’ Pork Pie Hat

Crooks & Castles has reincarnated a vintage hat which originated during the mid 19th century where it is typically worn by women during the Renaissance period. However, it was later worn by English or British gentlemen with their tuxedos or with polo, pants and boots. This hat is often associated with jazz, blues and ska musicians and fans.

The pork pie hat is commonly made of felt or straw which it gets its name from its resemblance to a pork pie. In Crooks & Castles’ Pork Pie Hat, on the others hand, was made from straws that were hand-weaved meticulously. On its brim, there is a hat band wrapped around it which imprinted its Crooks & Castles’ logo.

Crooks & Castles’ Pork Pie Hat has two different colors to choose from – natural or black. Although there they did not mention the price but the Pork Pie Hat is now available at Stockholm’s Caliroots in Sweden.
